Tech Tips
For Teaching and Learning
Publishing
What are your students using to promote their ideas or express their opinions (or demonstrate evidence of learning)? Are they using blogs or wikis to chronicle or publish collected work or long-term prepared writing? Wikispaces is an easy to use wiki tool with educational pages that are ad-free. Students can create their own blogs in gaggle, as well as email students, teachers, or experts and upload video projects to GaggleTube. For single or one-time publications, try S'more, Storify, or Glogster. When students publish to a global audience they will produce quality work, and new technology based tools can be edited with images and photos, and many can be created from an iPad.
Remember to publish links to the online work. Options are QR codes and links from your class Edline or Edmodo page.

iPads in Classrooms
PCSSD is not alone, or even first to the game. Schools across the world are adding iPads to classroom tools, reported by Education Today in March. What are your favorite apps? Are you noticing a difference in attitudes, motivation, or attention?
