Decision Making Processes
By: Nala Mayberry
Painful
Wasting time and emotion while trying to identify choices. Most of the time, a person never reaches a decision therefore, the decision is forced upon them by someone else or left to chance.
Impulsive
Not planned and lacks attention of personal strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Little alternatives are considered and very little information is collected before the decision is made. The decision is made quickly but it isn't always the best decision.
Compliant
Goes along with other people's plans. They allow other people to make the decisions for them. Not fully committed to the decision because they don't have ownership of the outcome.
Delaying
Procrastinate and delay instead of facing the decision. Can create negative outcomes and loss of control. Could result to unawareness of the problem, fear of making a decision, or not knowing how to pick an alternative.
