Adult and Community Education
"In The Know" 09/06/16
A Message from the Leadership Team
Adult Education
Now that registration for ESOL classes has closed, your class roster should reflect the students in your room. Please make sure you complete attendance by the first 90 minutes of class. If you have students in your class that are not on your roster, please direct them to the main office. This is important because we want to accurately track student class time, and ensure they receive proper credit for attendance. A great way to help eliminate the distraction of tardy students is to start class on-time. Students will learn quickly to arrive on-time. It is important to have structures and class routines in place that create a productive learning environment. For the remaining four weeks we want to ensure that classes start on-time (8:30AM - Mornings / 12:00PM - Afternoons / 6:00PM - Evenings) and that we maximize class time by not dismissing early (11:30AM - Mornings / 3:00PM - Afternoons / 8:30PM - Evenings).
Welcome back. We are excited to be offering new classes again this session. Capt. Rob Modys is back and we are thankful for his recovery. He will be teaching Saltwater Fishing SW Florida, Part 1.
Remember to arrive at least 15 minutes early to get your attendance sheets and to greet your students as they arrive to class. Someone will come around and pick up your attendance sheets once class has started. We look forward to another prosperous year for Community Education.
