A Special Welcome to our Financial Manager...Ms. Sharon Hardie
Sharon D. Hardie is the Financial Manager for GEAR UP Jefferson County (GU-JC). She is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and attended Tuscaloosa City Schools until high school graduation. She is a graduate of Kansas State University where she received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. After working several years in Civil Service, she went on to pursue her Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. After moving to San Antonio, Texas, she began working for a local public accounting firm where she was promoted to Associate partner before leaving. In 2010, Sharon started her own consulting and accounting practice.
Sharon has a passion for education and for providing opportunities to individuals who would otherwise not be given a chance to thrive. Reflecting on her life’s accomplishments, Sharon remembers being told that she should not strive to attend college. However, today she is pursuing her PhD in Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.
