The EGE Spelling Bee will be held on Tuesday, December 7th at 12:45 pm in the EGE cafeteria. The top two finalists from each classroom spelling bee in grades 3-5 will participate in the EGE spelling bee. Parents and guests are welcome to support their student if they are partcipating in the Bee.

Help Humble ISD students by donating to HAAM’s Empty Stocking Seasons of Sharing Drive

Humble ISD is partnering with Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) to help make the holidays brighter for students in need this holiday season through the Empty Stocking Seasons of Sharing Drive.

Monetary donations of any amount will be used to purchase gift cards that will be distributed to the families of Humble ISD students who have applied for assistance. To date, over 500 district families have been identified for assistance.

“HAAM is proud to partner with Humble ISD to help families when they need us the most,'' Millie Garrison, HAAM Executive Director, said.

Ensuring that our students have a happy holiday season gives them the ability to focus on their classwork. “It spares our students the added stress of wondering if they’ll have gifts to open or even food on the table for a holiday dinner,” Matt Smith, Coordinator of Elementary Counseling and Behavioral Services for Humble ISD, said.

We will celebrate Polar Express Day on Thursday, December 16th. Students may dress in school-appropriate pajamas on Thursday, December 16th. All pajamas must follow district dress code policies.

Classroom Holiday Parties are scheduled on Friday, December 17th from 11:00-11:45 am for grades PK-5. We invite parents to join the parties. Thank you to our PTA for planning and hosting.

"Regular exercise has lots of health benefits for children and young people, such as improving fitness, improving academic scores, increasing concentration, providing opportunities to socialize, building a stronger heart, bones, and healthier muscles, encouraging healthy growth and development, and improving self-esteem. Keeping it fun and encouraging your child to find activities and exercises that they enjoy which will help them stick to it. Some fun examples are bike riding, walking the family dog, martial arts, swimming, rollerblading, playing a sport, or running. Have fun!"

Attendance is very important to a child's education. If your child(ren) have to be absent for any reason please report the absence.

When reporting an absence it is important to include the child's first and last name, the teacher's name, date(s) they were absent, and the reason for the absence. Listed below are some options on how you can report an absence.
