Delaney School Newsletter
October 2021 Edition
Successful Start!
Dear Delaney School Families,
We have had a terrific start to the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you all for your cooperation in helping to make the start to our year safe and successful.
Students and teachers have settled into their daily routines, and the classes are invested in learning. We are all respectful, responsible, and ready to learn each and every day in the Delaney School.
The teachers were happy to see so many of you at their Virtual Open House sessions last week. Thank you for taking the time to meet the teachers and learn about curriculum expectations for your children. Children do best when parents and teachers work collaboratively to support them in their academic journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this month's Delaney School Newsletter. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Miss Kathleen Maloney

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Since a successful parent-teacher conference is a joint enterprise, we ask that parents are prepared with the following information for the conference:
- Your child’s behavior at home.
- Health habits, including eating, sleeping and general disposition.
- Use of time out of school, including play, reading, study habits, television, hobbies and interests.
- Relationship with parents, other members of the family, friends, and neighbors.
- Attitude toward authority and ability to accept direction.
- Observations of your child’s home and community life which you feel will help the teacher better know your child.
- Your child’s feelings about school.
- Questions you may want to ask about your child and his/her progress.
- Suggestions which would help the teacher work more effectively with your child.
We look forward to making parent conferences a successful experience for all families!
