Golen Rule
By: Drew Moore
Treat others the way you would like to be treated
Act in a kind manner toward everyone even if you don't like them because it is the right thing to do. An unofficial rule the Golden Rule Contains is, if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all. This rule is a rule for everyone and should be applied throughout their entire life. A way to demonstrate the Golden Rule for example is if someone punches you, you turn the other cheek because you wouldn't punch somebody or treat them in a bad way.
History
The Golden Rule is usually introduced to kids when they are in kindergarten or first grade. The history of the Golden Rule dates all the way back to when Jesus was alive. The Golden Rule appears in the following Biblical verse: "You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against your kinsfolk. Love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD." This rule has been in place since the beginning of time and is still used today because of how important it is.
