Pink Day!
What did we learn this week?
Math
This week in math we worked on composing numbers up to 5! We looked at different combinations of how we can make the number 5. We also learned what the (+) and (-) sign mean!
Library
In library this week, we were able to pull books from the non-fiction side! It was so exciting!!
ELAR
In language arts this week we learned how to login to i-station by our self!! We worked in stations and reviewed the -ag word family.
Guest reader: Mrs. Munoz!
This week Mrs. Munoz, a third grade teacher, came and read a story to our class! We loved having her and her silly voices :)
Next week we will...
- Letters: Short /i/ and -ip word family. *lip, sip, tip, drip, etc.
- Keep working on the new sight words- For, he, said Review Old Words- I, am, go, to, little, is, like, a, the, have, at, my
- Math: Composting and decomposing numbers to 10, greater than, less than, and graphing into 3 categories
- Science: Parts of a plant, plant needs, and review trees.
Veteran's Day Kindergarten Speaker
Huge thank you to Claire who was brave enough to represent all of Kindergarten at the Veteran's Day ceremony! Claire did a wonderful job reading the poem for the Veteran's and the school.

MVP's!!
What can I do at home with my child???
- First and foremost- practice writing your child's name EVERY NIGHT. I can't beg you to do this enough :)
- Writing the alphabet letters- capital and lowercase. If you need alphabet paper from me, just ask!
- Practice writing numbers 1-10
- Counting to 20 (at least) Try forwards then backwards! It's also good to practice starting from any number. You don't always have to start with 0 :)
- Tying their shoes by themselves!!!
- Writing their sight words from the week- I always list the new words in the "next week we will above"
- Read with your child EVERY night or as much as you can!! Please, please, please!

Tardies!
In order to help our students get to school on time, we are having a grade level competition! The class with the least amount of tardies at the end of the month will have a special surprise from Mr. Hilton!!
