Clackamas River Chinooks!
January 14, 2022
We are so happy we have been able to continue to open our doors and welcome our Chinooks to school each day. With increases in our Covid cases, we are also seeing an increase in car traffic as people try to limit possible exposures. Please remember to follow the arrival process of pulling forward 2 car lengths and the first 4 cars only letting students out. This keeps our parking lot safe and students moving quickly into school.
As a reminder, school will not be in session on Monday, January 17 because it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We look forward to welcoming you back in the building on January 18th.
We will also be welcoming the Tooth Taxi to Clackamas River. February 14-18th, they will be at the school to provide dental services to those who are interested. Please fill out the interest form below and return it to Clackamas River no later than January 21st to receive the complete packet and have a time scheduled for your student.
The annual "opt out" form is also attached below. For more information, please look in the "Yellow News".
We hope you have a great 3 day weekend and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, January 18th.

Emergency Broadband Benefits
Families can go to Reliance connect's website and the very first thing that comes up is the Emergency Broadband Benefit program.
Follow the prompts through the different paperwork and it is fairly easy to apply.
Families can receive $50.00 a month toward getting their internet connected. All they have to do is follow the links. Most of the programs through Reliance are only $59.00 so this would cover all but 9.00.
Families can qualify if they:
1- are low income,
2-have children that qualify for free and reduced lunches,
3-Received a Federal Pell Grant,
4-Are SNAP eligible,
5- Had a substantial loss of income due to job loss or were furloughed and had an income of below 99,000.00 single filers and 198,000.00 for Joint filers.
Or go directly to fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit
If the families cannot afford the $9.00 there is a program through the State of Oregon that will help with the last part.
