PSAT/NMSQT Testing Opportunity
Georgia Cyber Academy is pleased to announce another opportunity for students in the 10th and 11th grades to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 9:00 am. The deadline to register is December 2.
Information can be found here: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10
This test provides students an opportunity to practice for the SAT. Additionally, 11th graders who take the PSAT are eligible to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship.
The administration will only take place at one location, the GCA Central Office (1745 Phoenix Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30349). If this location is not convenient for you and you wish for your student to participate in January PSAT/NMSQT, you should contact local brick-and-mortar schools to see if they would be willing to allow your student to test there.
Students who took the PSAT/NMSQT in October 2020 are not eligible to take the test again in January.
To register your student for the PSAT/NMSQT, you must fill out the registration survey here: https://forms.gle/BBwjuvCeYKbUQCqA6
There is a $15 refundable deposit required to register. After completing the registration survey, a payment link and instructions will be sent to you. Your deposit will be returned after your student takes the test. Deposits will not be returned for students who do not show up for testing. If testing is canceled all deposits will be returned.
Once you have completed the registration survey and paid your deposit, you will receive confirmation that your student is registered to test. Additional communication will be sent prior to testing.
The deadline to register and pay a deposit will be Wednesday, December 2.
To ensure social distancing, there will be a strict maximum number of students able to test. When the maximum is reached, additional students won’t be able to register. Registration is first-come, first-served.
Numerous additional safety measures will be strictly enforced at testing including mandatory mask-wearing, sanitizing of surfaces, making hand sanitizer available, and more. A more complete list of these measures will be communicated to staff, students, and parents closer to testing.
Important: Parents who want their students to test with accommodations due to a disability will need to get approval from the College Board prior to testing. More info here: https://accommodations.collegeboard.org/request-accommodations
