Substitutes in May

Please note that May is a very difficult month to obtain substitute teachers. The reason for this is that across various districts, there are a lot of events and testing that require substitute teachers. Lately, the district has had several days where schools have not had enough substitutes to cover the absences that they have. The day that is most challenging in terms of finding substitutes is Friday. Therefore, going forward, no requests for BAS or PALS testing will be approved on Fridays. The best day of the week is Wednesday. Please keep this in mind as you schedule your testing for the rest of this year and going forward for next year. Thanks!

Forward Exam Results

Per DPI, Forward Exam student reports and summaries will be posted to a secure web based report delivery system in mid-to-late July. Hard copies of individual student reports will be mailed to distrcits in early August. The hard copy individual student reports are the ones that will be given to parents. If any parents inquire about when the results will be available, you can let them know it will be sometime during August.

Flex PD August - Session Leaders Wanted!

Teachers: You received an email last week from Conrad regarding Flex PL for next year. Please note that the flex PL days have been moved to the front of the school year for the 2016-17 school year. There will not be any June days. The Flex PL days will be August 22 and 23. The district is looking for teachers to lead Flex PL sessions. I strongly encourage you to consider leading a Flex PL session. We have teachers who have strong skills and expertise in various areas. This is a great opportunity for you to share your expertise with others. If you would like to lead a Flex PL Session, you can submit a proposal on the new Flex PL Website. Let me know if you have any questions.
