SMS Distinguished Gentlemen are on FIRE!!!
Distinguished Gentlemen are becoming "Young Men"
How to Tie a Tie
The How to Tie a Tie Workshop was a Huge Success we had over 50 young men participate, 20 volunteers and 13 barbers! The guys had a chance to learn 3 different knots & the bow tie, plus got hair cuts! Shouts out to Mr. Gillard (8th Grade AP), Mr. Reid (Special Ed Dept.), Gwinnett County Barber Institute, Shiloh's janitors and everyone who took the time to participate and donate to the cause!!
Table Etiquette 101
Distinguished Gentlemen hosted a Table Etiquette 101 Workshop last week that was a HUGE SUCCESS. Thank you so much Mrs.W. Dorsett for providing the china, linen and your amazing skills teaching these guys the importance of manners, how to properly eat and proper etiquette.
Omega Psi Phi Manhood Uplift Event
This past weekend Distinguished Gentlemen participated in the Omega Psi Phi Manhood Uplift event with 30+ attendees. We had exceptional support from our parents and the guys learned some very vital information on decisions making, handling police officers, and the severity of gang related activity. Thanks Ms. B.Jones for telling us about the event.

Free Food Boxes Available!
Did you know that food boxes were available at Shiloh Middle on Fridays and Sundays? Yes! If your family could benefit from a food box, feel free to stop by the school Fridays from 4-6pm (6th grade hall) and Sundays from 10-12pm (gym entrance near bus lanes). It takes a village and we are glad our community partner, Elam Christian, is here to help.
Food box pick up will begin again next week: Friday, February 10, 2017 from 4-6pm. No RSVP or ID needed. Simply come :-).
Congrats and Thanks!
SMS Soccer
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our boys’ and girls’ soccer team. This past weekend, we played our first soccer tournament. For our first year playing soccer, our student athletes did very well in the tournament. The boys team went to the quarterfinals while the girls played in the semifinals and got a 3rd place trophy!
