"When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It's to enjoy each step along the way." - Wayne Dyer
With Appreciation:
But you make a difference. Our children grow and thrive because of your care, attention, and thoughtfulness. You are role models and leaders and your example teaches our children how to love, care, learn, and grow.
You make a difference. Every day. For every child. Thank you.
Things to Know...
End of the Year Staff Celebration - watch for details, but please plan to join us for a staff celebration on Tuesday 6/5 at 230 pm.
Teacher who Makes a Difference - on Monday, Lorri and Jen will attend a reception hosted by PCOE where the "Teachers Who Make a Difference" will be honored for their work. Thank you, Lorri, for all that you do to make LCE a great place to work and learn!
MPR on Monday - Kinder has the MPR reserved on Monday from 10-11:30 for a special assembly. 1st grade (and maybe 2-5, too) - please anticipate having lunch outside.
Road Work - You've hopefully heard about the slurry seal application on Joiner. The work is slated to start as early as 7 am, and I believe there will be lane closures. It's hard to know how this will impact us, but please plan accordingly.
Class lists - thanks for your work in completing pink/blue cards, shuffling students into tentative classes and adding those tentative class lists into the google doc Jen shared with you earlier this month. Please ensure your google spreadsheet is filled in and give your pink and blue cards and any parent input forms to Jen ASAP. We'll review them again as a team on Wed., 5/23.
Open House is next week (Thurs., 5/17). Like last year, there will be activity on campus from 5-7:30 pm, and teacher classrooms will be open from 6:15-7:15 pm. If you are a parent of a LCE kiddo and need to adjust your classroom time, please let me know what your plan will be and please communicate that change to your families. Here's the general schedule for the evening:
- 5-7:30 - Book Fair open in the library
- 5:30 - 4th Grade Ukulele Performance in the MPR (arrive to the MPR by 5:25)
- 5:45 - 3rd Grade Recorder Performance in the MPR (arrive to the MPR by 5:40)
