Mrs. Williams
Art Show
Next Monday, December 4, we will have an art show with framed art for sale for each PK-5 student, along with additional works that have been completed this year.
Professionally framed artwork will be available for purchase for $25 per item.
The show will be in the library and will be open from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Christmas Party
Our Christmas Party will be Wednesday December 13th, 12:00-1:00. I have several parents signed up to bring items. If you would like to come and help let me know!
Each child will need to bring a coloring book and crayons wrapped for the present swap!
Special Days This Month
Grinch Day will be Tuesday December 12th. We will read How the Grinch Stole Christmas, watch the movie, make Grinch crafts and have a "Grinch theme" all day! Children can wear a Grinch shirt or dress as a character from the story.
Gingerbread Day with be Thursday December 14th. We will read gingerbread stories, make a gingerbread craft, and decorate cookies or houses. If you are interested in helping get supplies for gingerbread houses and helping that afternoon let me know.
Snowman Day will be Friday December 15th. We will read snowman stories, watch a snowman movie, and paint snowmen that day. We will use the snowmen to decorate our room for January. Wear a snowman shirt if you have one!
Smart Cookies!
Reading
We are working on letters Dd, Kk & review, reading sight words, and how letter sounds blend together to make words. We are learning to identify the beginning and ending sounds in words.
Math
We are working on identifying, counting objects 0-10, writing our numbers, and building our number sense. We will start teen numbers. We are working on measurement.
Writing
We are working on writing words and sentences with spaces correctly. We are writing more than one sentence on a topic. We will write letters to Santa with help from our 4th grade buddies!

Good Citizen
Each month someone is recognized for being the good citizen. This person is polite, helpful to others, and doesn't get in trouble. They receive a special prize from Mrs. Hancock.
