Function

The muscular function helps the body move, maintain posture, protect internal organs, provide movement of blood, food, and waste through the body and produce heat.

Tissue types

Skeletal- striated/voluntary

Verbal- smooth/involuntary

Cardiac-striated/involuntary

Twitch- single contraction, not normal function

Tetanus- contraction after contraction,muscle never returns to normal state

Attachment

Origin-attachment to a moveable bone

Insertion- attachment to an immoveable bone

always attacked at two points
