Frontline, EOY and transportation
Things to make sure for each student with special transportation:
- The correct box is checked for transportation to know if routing is needed. See Screen 2 descriptions in document linked above for details.
- The correct next year campus is indicated on the transportation supplement
- For ECSE or LL students, will the student be attending AM or PM next year? Please make sure this is indicated on the supplement.

C-SEP Training for Diagnosticians and LSSPs
What is C-SEP?
C-SEP (Core-Selective Evaluation Process) is an efficient and comprehensive approach to identify students with Specific Learning Disability (SLD) by determining a pattern of strengths and weaknesses using the core tests of the Woodcock-Johnson (WJ) IV, Wechsler or Kaufman Batteries with additional "selective" testing conducted as needed. Each assessment contains a "core" set of tests that provides a representative survey of abilities measured by the battery. Examiners can selectively administer additional tests to provide greater breadth of measurement in an area of cognition or linguistic competency or in a domain of achievement.
Who is required to attend?
Diagnosticians and LSSPs are required to attend. If you are mentoring a student diagnostician, please invite him/her to join with you. SLPs and other related service providers are also welcome to attend.
We will meet from 8:30-3:30 each day, with one hour for lunch.
Day 1: Getting to Know C-SEP Training & Case Study

Challenge Day Volunteers
Challenge Day is scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022 from 8:00am-1:00pm at the WWJHS track.
Over the years, several of you have asked if your own children can volunteer at the event. If you would like for your own personal student to volunteer, please email Kalli Wakefield kalliwakefield@tomballisd.net for a permission form.
This form serves to inform you and the campus of the specifics for the event. All questions regarding absences, make-up work, attendance, etc must be directed to your child’s campus principal as he/she has ultimate say in the absence procedure.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Kalli Wakefield with any questions you may have about the event!

Student Support Shout Outs
Beth Gonzales - I just want to give a shout-out to Beth Gonzalez who is just a hard-working and dependable co-worker. I appreciate so much how dedicated she is to advocating for our kids. She is always working even when out of the office day and night. When seeing a person struggling she offers support without expecting anything in return. She didn’t score gaining a job in Tomball, Tomball scored in gaining a passionate and hard-working person like her.
Pooja Kelm - Pooja is amazing and an incredible asset to our district! She always looks out for students' best interests and makes things she cannot find in a resource. Pooja shares the materials she has made, such as this pain scale she created in order to help a student with multiple clinic visits.
