Why Summer Reading Matters

Start with a Book is designed to help address summer learning loss. The website provides parents, librarians, youth program leaders, and community groups a wide range of free and low-cost resources to help ensure that kids keep learning.

Questions to Ask Your Child during Story Time

Ask these questions before, during, and after a story to encourage your young learner to think about the text in a more in-depth way (it’s OK if your child can’t read independently yet!).
