DELAYED START TIME
FROM DR. MARCHINI, DIRECTOR OF PUPIL SERVICES
At the Delayed Start Information Meeting in late October, we received feedback that elementary parents may not be aware that the Delayed Start Options could impact the start times for elementary students. This information has been included in all of my recent emails and posted on the website- however, I wanted to make sure to send this to only Elementary Staff and Parents and ask you to look at Model 2 on the website. Model 2 includes a start time of 8AM for Secondary and 9AM for Elementary. Please keep in mind that this is only one of three options. Also - these options are still being reviewed by the Pupil Services Board Committee and no decisions have been made. Again - I wanted to make you aware of this. For all the options and cost associated with each, please see info on the website. See links below.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT
TITLE I TEACHER, MRS. McCALL
My name is Marsi McCall and this is my 8th year at East Vincent! After teaching 3rd grade for the past 7 years, I am excited to be teaching both reading and math as a Title I teacher this year! Having the opportunity to work with students from each of the grade levels has been my favorite part of this new position. In addition to my K-6 teaching degree, I also have a masters degree in reading & a reading specialist certification. My husband and I have a daughter who just turned 1, so my time outside of school is spent laughing and playing with her.
TITLE I TEACHER, MRS. RITTENHOUSE
Hello! My name is Jen Rittenhouse. I am part of the Title I Reading and Math Team. I started my career at East Vincent in 2003 as a first grade teacher. After many years in first grade, I became the Reading Specialist at East Vincent. I'm now lucky to be part of a team of reading and math specialists. When I'm not at East Vincent, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Todd, and my 18 month old son, JJ. We love to play outside and go on bike rides. I also love to exercise and read...especially in my hammock or on the beach in the summer!
EV FOOTBALL CHAMP
Last Saturday, Juelz led his team with THREE touchdowns to win the 2019 Bux-Mont Championship game. He also won the Pop Warner Scholar Athlete Award. Congratulations to Juelz for his hard work!
