Home and school working together for success.

May 2022

It is hard to believe this is our final month of the 2021-2022 school year. This will be a very busy month! Please remember, even though we have a lot of fun days planned, we are still in school. It is still important to have your child on time and present each day. Make sure to watch the calendar, and check your child’s folder so your child will be prepared for their classroom activities.

May is a month to recognize some of the most important people at Mt. Pleasant Elementary. May is appreciation month for school cafeteria workers, school nurses, teachers, and principals. Check your child’s school calendar for the exact dates.

Our lunch ladies are some of our unsung heroes. Please remind your child to thank them for all their hard work as they get their lunch tray.

No one wants to be sick or hurt at school; however, if we do need medical attention, Nurse Alley is here for us. Her job is never ending, and her knowledge is vast; whether it’s a runny nose, stomach virus, cut, bruise, or a broken bone, she takes care of all our tiger cubs. A nurse’s job is never done! Make sure Nurse Alley knows how much you appreciate her.

“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.”—Brand Henry Love. This is a great time to thank your teacher for all their hard work.

A great principal builds character, inspires dreams, encourages creativity, builds confidence, instills learning, touches our hearts, and changes our lives forever. Make sure to give Ms. Tidwell a huge tiger cub shout out for making Mt. Pleasant Elementary School the best!
