****School Winter Vacation: closed 12/24-1/1, students return on Monday, 1/4/21

Curriculum Corner:

Through out the month of December students are working on the following thematic units:

-We All Live Somewhere

-First Day of Winter

In order to support the themes the students will participate in activities based on the following books:

-The Mitten, by Jan Brett

-The Hat, by Jan Brett

-The Gingerbread Boy and The Gingerbread Baby, by Paul Galdone

-Math for All Seasons, by Greg Tang


Big shout out to Nurse Lea! As many of you know Nurse Lea is VERY talented. Last year she created the autism tie blankets for our school. Since the pandemic started last March, Lea has sewn and donated over 200 masks to staff, district Nurses, students and their families. Thank you Lea for all of your hard work and dedication to keep everyone safe!

News from Nurse Lea:

Just a reminder..... we are at the finish line for flu vaccines. We only have 50% of student flu vaccinations completed. All students must have documentation of the flu shot to Nurse Lea by December 31st or students will be excluded from school. This is a directive from the state of Massachusetts. In order to assist families in obtaining the flu shot, Lowell Public Schools is hosting a series of flu clinics. See attachment below for more information.
