Let's take the stairs!
I have to admit it....I am totally a "take the stairs" person. But how many of us are not? It doesn't make you a bad person if you choose the escalator or the elevator; it doesn't make you lazy either. Maybe you just enjoy riding the escalator....I mean, what little kid doesn't think it is fun? Every now and then, I do my best to embarrass Erin and the girls and I will try to stay in one spot on the escalator....so I can see where the escalator could be... fun.
But when we are educating students, many times we want them to see the value in "taking the stairs". Sometimes "taking the stairs" is the best option. Many times, "taking the stairs" will benefit them more even though the escalator and the stairs lead to the same place....
I love this video because someone used their imagination to help others change a habit for the better. The person who came up with this idea thought outside of the box! It took some planning and some effort to pull this off, but the results were amazing!
My question to you is this.....What are you doing to encourage students to "take the stairs"? My challenge for myself....What can I do to inspire you to "take the stairs"?
