Cougar Weekly Update
January 31, 2020
Principal's Message
Next week is National School Counseling Week. Mrs. Griffin and Mr. Coston are the best school counselors in the profession. They always seek to put students first and support the needs of all of us each day. They thoughtfully support our Nourishing Ninjas, Cougars for Christmas, Olweus, and Bucket Filling programs. They deliver quality lessons to our students for mental health, friendship skills, and making good choices.
As vital members of the education team, professional school counselors are agents of equity for students across the Commonwealth. Comprehensive, data-driven school counseling programs improve a range of student learning and behavioral outcomes. School counselors close achievement gaps and maximize student success by providing academic and career development interventions along with psychosocial counseling and mental/behavioral health supports.
Because of their constant positivity Cougar is a better place to learn, work, and grow. Please help me in celebrating our dynamic duo!
Have a wonderful weekend!
