New Dual Credit Enrollment Process Launched
The Post-Secondary Partnerships and Programs department launched a new dual credit enrollment process starting this spring semester. The enrollment coordinator, Jennylind Doyle, serves as the liaison between the high school campuses and DCCCD for dual credit enrollment. The new enrollment process requires that each campus submit enrollment projections and student rosters centrally to Mrs. Doyle to ensure that DCCCD deadlines are met. Ninety percent of our high schools met the DCCCD enrollment deadlines for the spring semester!

Dallas ISD High Schools have scheduled a field trip to take ACT on Saturday, December 14th
Principals at Kathlyn Joy Gilliam, Wilmer-Hutchins, and Franklin D. Roosevelt (Collegiate Academy) have approved field trips for their juniors to take the ACT! Yes, I said it, “A field trip to take a test!” These “trendsetting campuses” are setting a standard to ensure their students utilize their “fee waivers” to take the exam outside of the In-School testing dates! These high schools are also increasing campus awareness of College Entrance Exams and are removing the transportation barrier for students who normally wouldn’t have had the opportunity to go to one of these testing centers on a Saturday. The staff at these three campuses reached out to the Postsecondary Partnerships and Programs Department to team up with Aren Robinson who is the ACT/ SAT District Coordinator to prepare their students for this exam. Mr. Robinson will provide ACT test-prep strategies to these juniors to promote academic success on this test. Congratulations to these campuses for going above and beyond to support their students!
