THINGS TO KNOW...

*SEPTEMBER - How is it already September? Starting week 4 of school. Time sure flies when you are having fun!!!

*Progress Reports - Just a reminder that progress report grades will be pulled on Friday, September 6. Make sure that you have ample grades to give parents an accurate accounting of where students are currently functioning. This is for 2-4 only!

*Team leaders will have a brief meeting on Tuesday in the library. A link will be sent to team leaders for the agenda.

*ALL of kinder will be out on Tuesday and Wednesday at a training. PLEASE assist the subs in those classrooms as needed. Make sure they feel welcome and know they can come to any of us for assistance.

*September 10 will be our first opportunity for staff development here on campus. James Fatuch and Missy Giammatteo will be presenting on Education Galaxy. Make plans to attend this and see how to better utilize this tool in your classroom.

PLC TIME

Thank you so much for the run through this week. I think we ironed our a few kinks that were potential problems. My hope is that as we continue forward, things will get better and work smoothly.

Remember that your agenda needs to be in your 19-20 Agenda folder by Friday of each week. The only exception would be first grade since they meet on Friday. Since we are meeting in Rachel's office, planning ahead and being prepared it important as we won't have time to run back and forth to the classrooms to get materials needed.

Click this link to find which specials teacher will receive your students for the first nine weeks of PLC time.

GARDEN CLUB

Karen Boren has graciously stepped up to head this group. If there are any willing volunteers to work with Karen, please email me and let me know. Even if you won't be able to meet every time, the more we have the easier the maintenance job is going to be.

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

*Tanica Emmanuel for happily jumping into the craziness. - Kathy F

*Grateful for Missy G and Kim D who have a couple of high maintenance students. You are doing awesome! - Kathy F

*Grateful to be co-teaching with Shelby Harvey. I love the way you teach! - Katy F.

FOCUS FOR 19-20

ENSURE THAT GOOD QUALITY INSTRUCTION IS TAKING PLACE IN ALL CLASSROOMS BY FOCUSING ON:

*integration of technology

*implementation of guided math 3x a week

*improving Tier 1 best practices
