Ways of trasmittion

  • bacteria gets transmitted
  • takes the fecal-oral route
  • even a sip can contaminate you


  • only 5% of people get sypmtoms
  • leg cramps
  • watery diarrhea
  • vomiting
  • shock and dehydration

Ways to get treated

  • replace lost fluids (stay hrydrated)
  • Antibiotics (kills bacteria)


  • 80% of the cases are treated
  • 100,000-120,000 are caused every year
  • Able to kill within hours if not treated
  • No country requires proof of vaccinations for entry
