EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ACCESSING eLEARNING

Big picture

Welcome Back! (sort of) All about our eClassroom experience.

As everyone has heard, we have suspended in-person classes for the time-being, but Frisco will continue to provide educational experiences via our new eLearning platform. We have been working hard to come up with lessons that will engage students as well as keep them up-to-date with current standards in order to minimize gaps in learning.

This newsletter will inform you what learning students will participate in, where you can access it, and how teachers will be facilitating this process.

What Learning Will Occur (Lesson for the Week)

The expectation for student learning is approximately 25 minutes per subject area: Math, Science, Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. In addition, time has been allowed for Specials and Spelling. Students are allowed to submit assignments at their own pace as long as lessons are completed in consecutive order. For example, complete Tuesday lessons in math before Wednesday lessons.

All work must be completed and turned in no later than Friday, 3/20, by midnight in order to receive credit for attendance.

This first week's lessons are a review of standards previously taught. If it is determined that we will be closed longer, lessons will move from review to new learning. Continue reading for this week's lessons.

Where to Access Learning for the Week

Below you will find a document that contains all lessons and activities for the week. If continued closures occur, new learning will be emailed in the same format.

Please note: New things will be added to the lesson link today, so do not begin the lessons before 9AM tomorrow.

We want to make sure everyone knows how to log into the various platforms and websites we will be using. Although your children should be familiar with this, we wanted to make sure you have the information as well.

How Teachers Will be Facilitating This Process

Teachers will be available from 9 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 3 pm via email. We will also be providing timely feedback to students in order to support understanding of content. Since this is new for all of us, we will be monitoring and adjusting the lessons if needed. Please let us know if you run into any difficulties with this process so that we can fix it.
