OLD BUSINESS UPDATES
Pamper Day
Caring for the Caregiver
Pamper Day was a great success. Our caregivers got the opportunity to experience our therapies, crafts, and much more at Pamper Day. Special thanks go out to Tess Stephens, Melinda Whitehead, Kathy Phillips, Lynn Davis, James Greer, Joanne Rattray and Karen and Deanne from Silver Thorn for providing their services.
Also, a big Thank You to the St. Thomas Christian Church for the wonderful lunch they provided for everyone at Pamper day.
Volunteer Christmas Social
I am not sure about everyone else, but I had a great time at our Volunteer Christmas Social! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. A Special Thank you to Tess Stephens and Sue Bassett for providing us with a mini laughter yoga session, it was great to see everyone participating and having fun with it. Another Thank You to Lynn Davis for working so hard at getting the Gift Certificates from our local restaurants.
Christmas Open House
Christmas Open House was also a great success. We had many visitors come and walk through the office, new and old. It was great to see so many familiar faces and to meet so many new people.
SANTA CLAUS PARADES
I don’t believe I have ever had that much fun walking! We laughed, waved and got LOTS of exercise!
A special thanks to Bonnie Corey, Teri Peterkin and her two children, Margaret Livingston and Cookie Calvert for helping cut and tape the ballets onto 3000 candy canes! (Donated by Bulk Barn and Scoops)
Melinda Whitehead and her two daughters, Teri Peterkin and her two children, Nelia Amaral, Tam Brownlee for walking in the local Santa Claus parades with me. It was so much fun, and it was great to be able to participate in the local parades.
We attended:
Aylmer, West Lorne, Rodney and Springfield
We have 5 turkey vouchers from United Way for clients who have used our service, and are in need. We would like some suggestions as to who would benefit the most from these vouchers. If you could call or e mail us with your suggestions by December 12th that would be fantastic, whoever the client may be, they will have to attend an United Way event to receive the turkeys.
CONGRATULATIONS TO….
