Let it snow!
November was such a fun month in class. We talked a lot about what we are thankful for and what being thankful means. We read a lot of stories about thanksgiving and turkeys. Pete the Cat's First Thanksgiving was their favorite by far. I feel like I got to know each of your kids even better this month and I am truly thankful for what they teach me every day. The smiles on their faces warm my heart!
We talked a lot about germs and why we don't want to share them with our friends and how we stop them from spreading. We practiced washing our hands and using a tissue. This is something we will continue to do all during these winter months.
Our afternoon class got 3 new friends in November. We have had a great time getting to know them and building friendships. The class has been very helpful and modeling the rules and teaching our new friends the routine.
Thank you Thank you Thank you for all the wonderful food you sent in for our feast!!! We had a little bit of everything and it was fun to watch the kids try thing they had never tried before. I also loved watching the kids take pride in the food they brought and telling the other kids about it.
This month we will be making Christmas crafts, reading Christmas books, singing Christmas songs and learning while we are at it. We are going to focus on numbers this month. We are counting everything: days on the calendar, snow flakes on the table, jingle bells and much more. The kids are doing so good at recognizing their names and we will continue to work on this. We will continue to work on writing our names.
Ok now to my favorite part, the PICTURES!!
