Who we are...
1. Your name and position in Ajman Academy?
My name is Remi Ojenikoh.. I'm a science teacher and also Head of Secondary Science at Ajman Academy.
2. Where are you from?
London town.
3. Do you have a family?
Yes, a very handsome husband (he told me to say that) and 2 adorable girls aged 6 and 2 - who is going on 40!
4. Your childhood nickname?
Remzicles.
5. What's your favourite food?
Mum’s Jollof rice, soft chicken and plantain – Emaan’s fudge cake a close second!
6. What are your hobbies?
Singing and continuously watching Netflix.
7. Where's your favourite place in the UAE?
Definitely the RAK Mountains. There's just something so special and magical about them.
8. Most memorable experience as a teacher so far?
As a form tutor, having one of the most challenging form group in school leave school with all passes in their terminal exams.
9. Can you share with us the funniest moment in your teaching career?
Being played in a role-play for an end of year production. It's amazing how students notice the funniest (and most awkward) things.
10. How about the most challenging moment in your teaching career?
Oh it has to definitely be my first year as a teacher.
11. Who's your childhood hero?
The greatest female tennis player in my eyes: Serena Williams – A Woman, who is nailing it in her field, and yet graceful with her success.
12. If you weren’t a teacher, what would you be?
Professional TV watcher.
