Rolling Hills Engineering Academy Newsletter February 2020
Welcome to Black History Month and The Month of Love
Team Excellence,
We are displaying excellence on campus and throughout the district. Thank you for your overwhelming support at the LISD STEM Expo and during RHE's Super Goal Kickoff Night! Together, as parents, students and staff, we will achieve our greatest potential. With every member giving 100%, RHE can and will be the premier elementary school in the state of Texas. I believe this! Do you?
During February, we will celebrate Black History Month, as well as be intentional about showing appreciation and displaying kindness. Consider joining in with our efforts to recognize our School Counselor Mrs. Armstard, as well as participating in Kindness Week.
As parents, we have more to do than the day allows and limited energy to get it all done. However, my daily goal is to ensure every child understands that they are important to us here at RHE.
If you missed Super Goal Kickoff Night, please schedule a meeting with your child's teacher to discuss 2020 Goals. Every child, pre-kinder through fifth grade, has a mark to meet to ensure they are working at and reaching their personal best.
Loving to Serve,
Principal Cherish Pipkins

Dear Parents,
Second graders recently completed a PBL on building a storm shelter. As you know, Lancaster has had multiple tornadoes that have devastated our neighborhoods and businesses. We would like to donate pencils to an elementary school in Dallas County that was impacted by the tornado on October 24, 2019. Would you please help us? We want to be neighborly and let that school know that we care! Our children will write notes/letters and draw pictures to donate along with the pencils.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Ms. Martin, RHE 2nd grade
