7th Grade Orientation
May 6, 2016
It's time to celebrate! At the end of this school year, the 6th grade students wind up their Maple Valley Elementary School years. There will be big changes in store next year when they move on to high school. We want students to feel confident about the transition. For this reason, we have planned a fun afternoon of activities on May 6th to include shadowing with the 7th grade, Q & A time with Dr. Nygaard as well as Maple Valley High School Student Ambassadors, and more. This will all take place during the regular school day.
6th Grade Transition Day

Events of the Day
Our afternoon will start with lunch with the 7th graders. After lunch we'll spend some time with the high school Student Ambassadors. We will also have some time for a Q & A with Dr. Nygaard and Deputy Potter. We will end the day with the 7th graders, learning some of their tricks of the trade and having some fun. At the end of the school day, students will catch the afternoon bus from the high school.
