NVHS would like to thank everyone who helped in any way to make our homecoming a great success. It was a lot of fun to begin creating a new normal for so many activities. But I guess it's true that all good things come to an end.

With the end of homecoming comes the last push to get everything caught up and back on track before the end of the first 9 weeks grading period. We have 2 weeks left of the first quarter of school. Students and parents are encouraged to check their grades. Remember that anything with an "x" must be completed and submitted by the teacher's deadline so that it does not remain averaged as a zero.

If you have questions about a grade, please contact the teacher and include an administrator in the email so we can all be on the same page.

Students needing help in other subjects should email Mrs. Denise and she will set something up for you with the appropriate teacher.

• Students are reminded that shorts and skirts are to be no more than 6 inches above the knee.
• All pull over sweaters/sweatshirts follow the sweatshirt policy. (Solid, or NV) Check the VP handbook for more details.

Again this year, our sophomores will have the opportunity to participate in the Sudden Impact program. This program was developed by UMC, and was designed to prevent fatalities and injuries from driving impaired, distracted, and/or unrestrained. Each session holds about 30 students and will be held on campus during the regular school day. We will be posting a sign up soon in the sophomore Google Classroom. We will have our 1st group participating on October 20th.

• The last of the parent emails have been entered. Any parent not receiving the requested progress report Monday morning should email any administrator to get this corrected.

• Remember that Geometry students for Mrs. Jessica and Ms. Taylor will only be working up to Unit 2 and this is this week!

Each year, the American Legion Post 271 helps students from NVHS attend Boys State. They are currently selling raffle tickets as part of their fundraising campaign. If you would like to participate, please contact the front office. Tickets are $1
