Help Pay Off A-Rod's Contract!
He's a waste of space, and does absolutely nothing!
A-Rod's Stats in September and the 2012 Postseason
Rodriguez only batted .250 in September, even after being pushed to a bench role, and in the Postseason, he had only 3 hits in 25 at-bats! That's a .120 batting average! That's worse than Jason Bay!
A-Rod And Steroid Usage
Rodriguez admitted to using steroids in 2002-2003 when he played for the Texas Rangers. Also, he is involved currently with steroids and the person who gave them to him, Anthony Bosch. Teammate catcher Francisco Cervelli is also suspected in the reports, along with Melky Cabrera and Bartolo Colon, two former Yankees. Others included: Yasmani Grandal, Ryan Braun, Danny Valencia, Carlos Carrillo, and Gio Gonzalez, which means almost half of the players involved played for the Yankees at some point in their career.
Coincidence?
A-Rod's Huge Contract
A-Rod's 10 year contract in 2007 broke a major league record, as he signed for $275 million, including incentives. He gets a $10 million signing bonus, $27 million in 2008, $32 million in 2009 and 2010, $31 million in 2011, $29 million in 2012, $28 million in 2013, $25 million in 2014, $21 million in 2015, and in 2016 and 2017, he will receive $20 million. Rodriguez has a no-trade clause, and A-Rod can receive an additional $6 million for each home run milestone that he breaks, Willie May's 660 homers, Babe Ruth's 714 homers, Hank Aaron's 755 homers, tying Barry Bonds' homer record and breaking Barry Bonds' homer record. All in all, this is the most stupid decision made by the Yankees front office in their history.
