Final Grades and Credit Recovery

At the end of 4th Quarter on June 15th, grades will be finalized for the year and updated on official transcripts. The final grade for the year will determine whether students have to repeat courses or are able to continue to the next level. Please note that during the 4th quarter, there will not be a 50% floor. Students will earn a grade between 0% and 100%. Students at risk of failing for the year should work with their counselor and teachers to complete credit recovery, sign up for summer school, or adjust their courses for next year as needed.

Please make note of these important deadlines:

Friday, June 4th

  • Senior Grades Deadline: Seniors must submit work by Friday, June 4th. After this deadline, any student wishing to improve their grades will need to complete summer school and graduate at the summer school graduation ceremony in August.
  • Credit Recovery Deadline: Students in grades 9-11 completing credit recovery for Quarters 1-3 must submit all work by Friday, June 4th. After this deadline, any students still needing credit recovery for earlier quarters will need to attend summer school.

Friday, June 11th: Final Grade Deadline

  • Students in Grades 9-11 have until Friday, June 11th, to submit any remaining work for Quarter 4 classes. After this deadline, any students who still need to complete assignments or make up work will need to attend summer school.

Congrats to our Presidential Scholar Semifinalist!

We are pleased to announce that Stone Bridge senior Shreya Somayajula has been selected as one of 625 semifinalists to advance to the final round of the 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars competition. Congratulations Shreya!

The United States Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by Executive Order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our Nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. In 1979, the Program was extended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional talent in the visual, creative, and performing arts. In 2015, the program was again extended to recognize students who demonstrate ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields. Each year, up to 161 students are named U.S. Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students. The Scholars represent excellence in education and the promise of greatness in young people. In honoring the U.S. Presidential Scholars, the President of the United States symbolically honors all graduating high school seniors of high potential.

Starry Night, May 15th

Tickets are now on sale for our Covid-safe, outdoor, “Prom-like Experience”. There will be a DJ, red carpet, mood lighting, photo ops, and crowning of the Senior King and Queen. The Tempest is Coming Soon!

Running Dog Productions presents The Tempest starting on Friday, May 7 at 7PM at This is a filmed version of our spring play and it will be available to stream for a suggested donation of $5 for our Theater Department.

Based on the original play by William Shakespeare, Running Dog Productions created a version of The Tempest with a wild west twist. Watch what happens as a violent storm causes a wagon full of nobility to crash-land on a magical island. Controlled by a former ruler seeking revenge, this island has everything: a fairy, a fish-human hybrid creature, and a young woman who is ready to fall in love with the first man she sees. Directed for film by Stone Bridge students Ava Bueno, Emma Paskey, and TJ Santoro, this play features original music by Evan Harris and Arman Moshafi. Please join us from the comfort of your home to watch our spring production!

New Harassment and Intimidation Form

At Stone Bridge, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment in which every student feels included, valued, and affirmed. To help us in achieving that goal, LCPS has created an opportunity for students to anonymously share their stories of bias experienced within LCPS. A bias incident is an act of discrimination, harassment, or intimidation directed against any person or group that appears to be intentional and motivated by prejudice or bias. These anonymous stories will be used at the Share, Speak Up, Speak Out sessions with Student Equity Ambassadors, as well as inform next steps for professional learning and support for school staff. The direct link for the form was shared with students in an email today.

Information shared on this form will not necessarily be investigated by Stone Bridge staff, unless students provide their name and ask for follow-up. We encourage all of our students to still report these incidents to a trusted staff member or administrator so that we can investigate and provide appropriate interventions or disciplinary action. Please reach out to any member of the administrative team to discuss any concerns you might have.
