This past week we honored Mrs. Cook on Administrative Professionals Day. Mrs. Cook, CUES Secretary, is loved by our students, staff and community. She is dedicated to supporting all of us and is the back bone for everything we do at CUES. We appreciate her today and always for her hard work.

I would like to thank our local Kiwanis organization and the K-Kids for their hard work with the Mott's Children's Baby Shower. With the leadership of Kiwanis Organization, our students were able to encourage the community to donate new toys, gift cards, and crafts.

The Child and Family Life Team at Mott's visited CUES to receive the gifts and share information about their role at the hospital. The team is trained in reducing the stress and anxiety of their patients during their stay. They work with doctors and nurses to meet the emotional, developmental and cultural needs of every patient.

I am so grateful to our Kiwanis clubs at CES, CUES and CCHS for taking an active role in making such a meaningful donation to this wonderful organization. Congratulations to Mr. Meschke's 6th grade class for winning the classroom competition by donating the most items for the collection.
