Sports and Medicine; Who Knew??
Physical activity mixed with sports with medicine??
Sports and medicine combined?? Okay that's cool
Since I was very little I have loved medicine. Don't know exactly how I came to love it but I did. And I'm glad I did because it's truly fascinating to me. Then about 9 years ago I started playing soccer. I played for about 4 years till I had to quit because of ankle injuries. The thing I love most about both of those that's equal is the adrenaline that kicks in. It's like having this sudden burst of energy. I also love the fact that with both you're working on a team and have to use teamwork to get along and get things done. In soccer my teams lost a total of one game because I was goalie and could jump and dive to block goals pretty well. Plus I wasn't scared to get a little dirt on my uniform, or a lot. We earned medals for soccer. My teammates and I had amazing seasons.
Wesley Sneijder is a Dutch professional footballer (soccer player) who plays for Turkish club Galatasaray and the Netherlands national team. He was named UEFA midfielder of the season and one of the three best midfielders in the world for 2010 by FIFA. I look up to him because when I first started playing soccer I would watch professional soccer games and they would inspire me to do my best and be my best and not to give up. I don't play soccer anymore but I still watch it and I definitely watch Wesley when he plays because he is such an amazing player. And I am hoping that one day when I can play again I'm as good as he is. Even if it is as a midfielder (a position I've never really played).
