by William Holton
Nothing gold can stay, i think that means being rich sucks.
its about a golden/ yellow leaf on the tree and only stays on for a little bit before it drops and floats to the ground.
It uses the words "gold" when it means a dead leaf from fall.
The tone seemed like it kind was a little sad-ish.
There were no shifts in this poem.
Now the title means to mean that nothing good and nice in life can stay forever.
The poem is about a golden leaf falling from a tree but it only was nice an pretty for an hour or so before it fell.
