We had an amazing first week! Our Huskies have been busy acclimating to the new school year and have been learning our expectations, routines, and procedures. It has been such a pleasure to see our classrooms full, and students excited to learn! Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. It's great to be a Husky!

Thank You

We are so appreciative of Nichole Bertucci. She collected gently used uniform clothing, washed it, and displayed it for the clothing swap at Open House! This was a significant accomplishment. Thanks, Nichole!

Tobacco Use on School Property

Please be aware that smoking or vaping is PROHIBITED by law while on school property.

School Volunteers

We anticipate that we will invite volunteers into the school this year. As protocol indicates, all volunteers will check-in through the Raptor system in the vestibule and wear a badge while inside the school. First-time Raptor users will be entered into the system by Mrs. Melton and Mrs. Munerance. We will set aside a timeframe for initial user input at the beginning of the school year. Dare to be remarkable!

Welcome back Huskies!

I just finished my first week as the Curriculum Director and it was awesome!

It was great to have an opportunity to meet the staff and have the students back in the building. Holly Academy is a great place to work and learn. At this time, I am in the process of visiting classrooms and talking with both students and staff, and getting to know them. I am opening lines of communication to see what needs there are to better our curriculum. As a parent, I value your opinion on what may help our curriculum here at Holly Academy and want to encourage you to reach out to me with questions or concerns. I can be reached at kiddc@hollyacademy.org or by phone at (248) 634-5554 ext 221. I look forward to talking with you and having a great year at Holly Academy. Go Huskies!!!!!!

Save the Date for Virtual Curriculum Night.

September 19th from 5:30-7:30pm

Healthy Huskies

Big picture

To ensure that we are providing the healthiest environment for our Huskies, our expectation is that staff and families will use good judgment and stay home when they are sick. Should your child have a fever, our school protocol is that they may not return to school until they are fever free, without medication, for 24 hours. Should your Husky be exposed to a positive case, we will follow the Oakland County Health Department’s guidelines.

HA will continue our daily cleaning protocols using products approved by the CDC to be effective against the COVID-19 virus.

Attached below are the most recent Oakland County Health Department COVID-19 guidelines as of March 1, 2022.

It’s great to be a Husky!

Holly Days Parade

We are participating in the Holly Days Parade and Community Play Day on Saturday, September 10th (parade begins at 11:00am). Please mark your calendars to join us to walk in the parade wearing your Holly Academy "swag". We are also looking for a family or two to kindly drive their pick-up truck in the parade. Please contact Mrs. Vana and/or Mrs. Horton if you can provide a truck: vanat@hollyacademy.org, hortone@hollyacademy.org. It's great to be a Husky!

Annually, Holly Academy observes Unity Day, on October 19th to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying. We offer "Stand Up To Bullying" dress code-approved shirts that work perfectly for Unity Day, or we allow students to wear orange on that day. The order form for the Stand Up To Bullying shirts is below. Please note that elementary students may not wear the hoodie-style shirt as a dress code-approved item; however, the hoodie may be worn on dress-down days.
