Hispanic Heritage Month

help us celebrate!

What is it?

Hispanic Heritage month was started by Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968. This "month" is from September 15th to October 15th annually and creates awareness for the hispanic culture. Many awards are given out and is a time for a lot of celebration in the hispanic society.

Why This Time of Year?

September 15th is a very important day in many central american countries. They all rebelled and gained their independence on September 15th. This is another reason why they celebrate their heritage in this time of year.
