December 3 BHS Pirate Update

Dear Boonville Pirate Families:

This week as a very busy week at Boonville High School. We are successfully wrapping up the Tri-County Basketball Tournament, good luck to the girls who play tonight and the boys who play tomorrow. This event could not be possible without the tireless efforts of Mr. Shikles, Heather Duncan, our coaches, staff working games each night, the Booster club and several community sponsors. Events like these really show case how the Pirate family works together.

In addition, our choir is busy performing and preparing for the Yule Tide feast and our band is rehearsing for the annual Christmas concert. Our Key Club is wrapping up the Toys for Tots Toy Drive and our Student Council in collaboration with FFA continues to gather canned goods for the local food pantry.

This week we are once again reminded that we must remain diligent about school security and safety. To provide a more secure school, changes to parents/community drop of items is listed below. Thank you for helping us provide a safe environment for all students.

Finally, the schedule for Finals Week is provided below. Finals are a critical element in helping students prepare for their future after high school. Thank you for reminding your students to turn in final assignments and to begin preparing for final exams. It's very important for students to be present for these exams.

Sincerely,

Ms. Fuemmeler

Big picture

Building Safety: Item Drop-offs

Sometimes students need things dropped off at school during the day. BHS has seen an increase of drop-off traffic buzzing into the office.

As school safety is a top priority, BHS will begin accepting items on a designated table in the entry (label with a post-it note.) BHS staff will make sure that the item is delivered to the student. Doordash deliveries will no longer be accepted during the school day. Please plan accordingly.

Canned Food Drive

Student Council and FFA are collecting canned and nonperishable food for families in our community. The need is highest for canned meat, fruit, vegetables, soups, and meal kits.
