D.C. Cannon Elementary School Employee of the Month
Our employee of the month has many adjectives to describe her. These are just a few: generous, hard-working, positive, an encourager, dynamic, loving, patient, consistent, softie, fun, colorful, passionate, and never gives up. She is a “Get It Done” kind of person. She is great with the students and parents. She is always involved and active with them during ACE. I can depend on her for whatever reason. These are star quality reasons she was chosen as the employee of the month. Thank you Angela Miskell for your dedication to the students and to our ACE program. - Nancy Johns, DC Cannon ACE Site Coordinator-

We Would like to Thank Tyler Roton and Eagle Scout Troop 392 for their hard work in restoring the ACE Garden at DC Cannon
Troop 392
"Going Green"
I choose ACE garden club as my project beneficiary. I chose to help ACE garden club because I knew that they were in need of some mini greenhouses and more garden beds. I saw it as a possible Eagle Scout Project that would help and grow with the next set of ACE students and benefits everyone. The benefits are the ACE program being able to help more students by offering just a bit more, and the students are given another way to grow different plants and learn more about the garden from starting of the growth to the end product. I enjoyed working on this project "Going Green". because most of the materials were recycled and got a second chance to be used. With planning, I also was able to get help from other Eagle Scouts that are from Troop 392 along with those of us trying to get there. I could not have completed this project without the following people
Jon Brown-Scoutmaster
Glen Farley- Asst. Scoutmaster
Chris Brown- Eagle Scout
Josh Brown-Eagle Scout
Jake Brown- Eagle Scout
Grant Farley- Eagle Scout
Kamren Smith- Life Scout
Ace program Mrs. Underwood for donation of materials
Ms. Earls for the donation of money towards the project

Miss Sierra Stewart is our A.E Butler ACE teacher of the month. Miss Stewart shared an idea with a group of students when ACE began this year. The idea was to begin a jump rope club, and our ACE students thought it would be a great idea to start one and so they did. The students adore Miss Stweart, they say she is fun and is a great teacher/mentor. Miss Stewart works hard with her students not only in the physical part of ACE but as well as in their academics. -Jackie Arellano, Butler ACE Site Coordinator-

Mrs. Smith organizes and teaches our ACE students how to cook. Their recipes include simple items students can make for themselves and holiday dishes they can prepare for family and friend. Mrs. Smith is very versatile. She has taught many different ACE classes including Mum making, Spanish, and now cooking. Students love this class so much we now have a waiting list for students to get in the cooking class. Thank you, Mrs. Smith, for your dedication to the students in FHS's ACE Program. We appreciate you!-Tawanna Pumphrey Ford High School ACE Site Coordinator-
