College, Trades & Military Visits

This year we would like to welcome back our colleges, trades, and military to in person visits. Students in the 11th and 12th grade are able to sign up in the counseling office and are able to attend three visits per school year. These visits will include presentations, demonstrations, and question / answer sessions. Details about those visiting will be sent to the students email, as well as being on the morning announcements. We look forward to being able to provide these opportunities!

Applications for 7th hour classes are now available in the counseling office. 7th hour classes are for any students who have failed a class. Students must be passing all 6 of their current classes in order to take a 7th hour class.

ParentVue allows you to see your students' attendance and up to date grades in their classes. If you do not have a ParentVue account set up or have forgotten how to access it, please contact Melanie Collar at and she can help you.

October is College Application Month. If your student is a senior, October is the time to start applying to colleges for next year and getting the FAFSA completed. Clio will have a FAFSA workshop night on October 12 at 6:00 in the high school media center. Please make sure you and your student have your FSA ID created before then. Go to in order to get that set up. If you have completed a FAFSA in the past, as a student or a parent, you already have an ID. If you have questions, contact Jennifer Hall for more information or (810) 591-1385.

The counselors will begin meeting with seniors the last week of September to talk to them about their post-graduation plans. Our goal is to make sure they know how to achieve those plans regardless of what they might be.
