COUNSELING CORNER
Applications for 7th hour classes are now available in the counseling office. 7th hour classes are for any students who have failed a class. Students must be passing all 6 of their current classes in order to take a 7th hour class.
ParentVue allows you to see your students' attendance and up to date grades in their classes. If you do not have a ParentVue account set up or have forgotten how to access it, please contact Melanie Collar at mcollar@clioschools.org and she can help you.
October is College Application Month. If your student is a senior, October is the time to start applying to colleges for next year and getting the FAFSA completed. Clio will have a FAFSA workshop night on October 12 at 6:00 in the high school media center. Please make sure you and your student have your FSA ID created before then. Go to https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch in order to get that set up. If you have completed a FAFSA in the past, as a student or a parent, you already have an ID. If you have questions, contact Jennifer Hall for more information jhall@clioschools.org or (810) 591-1385.
The counselors will begin meeting with seniors the last week of September to talk to them about their post-graduation plans. Our goal is to make sure they know how to achieve those plans regardless of what they might be.
