Monday Memo
Week of 8/10/20: Central's Newsletter for Teachers & Staff
Pre-Planning Week #2
Congratulations! We Made it to Week 2 of Pre-Planning.
Here are a few very important reminders:
- You may enter this week at 7:30 am for temp checks and sign-in.
- Before leaving at the end of the day, make sure your classroom light is off and the door is locked. We had over 10 rooms with lights left on this weekend and doors left unlocked. Let's save money on the power bill and let's keep our campus secure.
- Don't forget to always keep your mask on you and have it on when unable to social distance. See the flyers and information attached in our Monday Memo below for informationo on free testing and the symptom screening checklist for use before coming to work each day.
- A One Hour Early Leave Google Form will be sent out to track Early Leave Requests. Remember you have 4 courtesy early leaves where you can request to leave one hour early from 2:15-3:15 pm for appointments. This can be very helpful to both you and the school. If the leave needed is more then the hour, a half day leave request must be utilized. Remember, early leave requests must be submitted no less than 48 hours in advance and must be approved by administration.
- Ink is being distributed based on what we have right now. An order will need to be placed soon since not everything on the list last year was ordered. We had the wrong ink ordered in some cases and will need some time to sort this out.
- You may have noticed, we have two new, beautiful Xerox machines in the copy room. The port is broken and the company is scheduled to come replace the port so that your classroom printers will be networked to the copiers. Please only print one copy on your printer and then take it to the copy room to make your copies. At this time, keep it to the essentials. We will talk more about this at PLCs on Monday.
- I would love to get some pictures this week of our teams in their classrooms and around campus with our masks so that we can share with our parents what things are looking like right now as we prepare. If you happen to take any, please send them to me by email please. Sending by email will save me some time in postings. :)
- Check the Pre-Planning Week Calendar each day since it's a live document and we are still making updates as things shift and move. We only change or add when we have to.
See you at PLCs tomorrow!
Be extraordinary this week! Be positive!
Together we are Bolder, Braver, Stronger! #RiseTogether #ONEcentral

Just leaving these here another week...just too pretty to move just yet!
We have some crazy talented artists on our campus and I can't thank them enough for giving their time and effort to make this happen for our students and for their colleagues. I also want to thank Kim Syples for organizing this project, as you can see she managed it brilliantly! Thank you Julee Pickles, LaDonna Wooten, and Amber Leonard for finding a way to make building culture so beautiful! If you see them around campus, be sure to give them a air hug and an air high five!
