Hill Elementary School ~ April 19, 2015
Wow! We had an amazing Friday night at our Hill Family Dance. This is truly a wonderful event with outstanding staff participation and our students and families had an amazing time. Thank you, thank you, thank you! The event raised over $1500.00, not including the money from the coin toss that will go directly back to classrooms. Kudos to all of you for your hard work and dedication to this event.
As you know, after spring break, everything really begins to amp up. Don't forget to take a breath, have some fun, and keep everyone focused through the activities, events, and testing. Student learning is #1!

One of the many reasons that I LOVE my job. One of Michelle's kiddos wrote this letter to me earlier in the week. Seeing this letter helps solidify to me that students feel safe to express their own thoughts and opinions, and in a very respectful way I might add. Our school community has done a stellar job empowering students. I want to give a huge shout out to Lisa for inspiring our students and help foster that love of music. It's awesome that they want to take their recorders outside at recess. I wrote the student back on chart paper for the class to see. Of course, I supported taking the recorders out at recess, with a few Cardinal Code expectations!
On that note.....have a wonderful week! :)
