Math Volunteers needed!
For CE2 and High School Completion Program
Please consider volunteering
The Tualatin High School Ce2 Program and High School Completion Program are both looking for occasional tutoring assistance for our students. Assistance provided would involve working one on one with students with Consumer Math, Algebra, and Geometry following the Gradpoint/Common Core Standards. Occasionally the classes call for more advanced Algebra and Geometry.
Below is a sample course description for Algebra 1:
The Algebra I Common Core State Standards (CCSS) course covers such key concepts as variables, function patterns, graphs, operations with rational numbers, and properties of rational numbers. Students learn to solve linear equations and inequalities; identify and analyze slope; and graph linear functions. This course also covers exponents, polynomials, and factoring. It also helps students study quadratic equations and functions; radical expressions and equations; rational expressions and functions; and study counting methods.
