"Love First, Last, & Always"
We are so fortunate to be a part of an amazing JV community! Over the past few months, we have come together to support one another through this unexpected journey. We have shouldered a tremendous load, but we have shared that load with one another. The bible reminds us that we are to carry each other’s burdens, and in this way we will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). We are a strong, resilient and generous family, and it is through these caring relationships and our Lord's good grace that we are able to navigate these challenges and arrive at the finish line!
We all deserve a gold medal, an enormous trophy, a huge fireworks show and one fantastic parade (complete with a marching band) to celebrate all that we have accomplished together! On behalf of all of our JV staff, we would like to offer a tremendous THANK YOU for all of your amazing support! So hit PLAY on the song below, take pride in finishing this school year, and have a dance party to celebrate our successes! We did it together!
May you be blessed with a happy, healthy, and holy summer vacation!

PSC News
Before schools were closed, Parent Council received a generous donation to our playground from councilor Dave Anderson. A huge thank you was in the works but this also had to wait. We look forward to sending a proper thank you soon.
We know there is much uncertainty in the months ahead. We are planning for things the best we can. Parent Council will again be offering the Davison Orchard Fundraiser in September. You can expect a form soon.
We are also planning to add the admazing coupon books this year!! This is a great fundraiser with many great prizes for the kids.
Other exciting news is our name change. The next time we are all together again we will be St.Nicholas Catholic School Parent Advisory Council. Our hope is that this new school year brings back some normalcy and a lot of excitement with a fresh start.
Our AGM will hopefully be taking place in early September. I you wish to be a part of our great team, or even take over a position please reach out to one of the council members. Or email is at jvpac1009@gmail.com

EICS Transportation Fees Flexible Payment Plan Options - Spring 2020
We realize that it may seem confusing as to why we are sending out invoices about next September when so many things in our province are not finalized during this pandemic.
In order to start planning routes and schedules moving forward - EICS Transportation needs to have concrete numbers of students and addresses to start planning the routes and pick up/drop off stops for our EICS bus riders.
With respect to specific concerns about transportation fees and the payment plan, EICS has provided two options: 1. June 15 to December 15, or 2. September 15 to March 15. Once the plan has been set up, your child will be assigned to the bus.
As well, if you have school fees that have been credited for programming and other options for this school year that you would like applied to EICS transportation fees, you can request this by contacting the school directly. The school will confirm that all resources have been returned prior to granting the request.
Below, we have included some easy steps that parents can take to access transportation fees and specifically the payment plan. If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact EICS transportation at Transportation@eics.ab.ca or by calling (780) 449-6480. We want to thank you for continued patience and understanding as we move through this together.
1. Log onto the EICS PowerSchool Portal at https://powerschool.eics.ab.ca/public/
2. In the Navigation toolbar, select “Student Fees”
3. Applicable fees for your child(ren) will show up and the pre-payment plan for Transportation will have two options: Option One which has payments from June until December and Option Two which has payments from September until March.

With the Government of Alberta easing restrictions on religious worship, you are no longer required to register your attendance for liturgy, therefore you will not receive or require a confirmation to attend. We will continue to offer services Saturday at 5:00 pm and Sunday at 10:00 am and you are free to attend whichever service you prefer. We do require to record your attendance, so part of the process upon entry to the church will be to record your name and number of attendees in your party.
Please be aware that you are still required to follow COVID-19 procedures of social distancing practices and not attending if you have any of the following symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19:
Fever > 38 degrees C
New cough or worsening chronic cough
Sore throat or painful swallowing
New or worsening shortness of breath
Difficulty Breathing
Flu-like symptoms
Runny Nose
Entry to the church will still be coordinated by a member of our welcoming team, allowing in one party at time, and you are still required to follow the seating instructions of our welcoming member. Unfortunately at this time we still cannot allow random seating.
We also need volunteers to be part of the welcoming committee to direct members. As part of this welcoming committee you will be required to wear masks and gloves that will be provided. All that is required, is allowing members into the church, checking them in and directing them to the appropriate seating. The majority of the tasks for these volunteers is before liturgy rather than after, so you will also be required to come a half hour before the beginning of liturgy. So if you are able to volunteer, please email: register1.ssp@gmail.com and indicate which service you can help at.
If you have any questions or comments, you can email to: register1.ssp@gmail.com
