Brigham Young was born on June, 1 1801 in Whitingham, Vermont.He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mormonism in 1832. In 1834 he joined 16,000 Mormons and marched to Missouri to help the Mormons regain there land. Young the leader of the movement next selected Salt Lake City, Utah as the new gathering place for Mormons. He later died in Utah on August, 29 1877.

Early life Brigham Young

Young grew up in a Methodists Church but called to Mormonism after reading The Book of Mormon. Before Young was the president of Mormons his career consisted of being a painter, carpenter,joiner,glazier, and landscape gardener.
