Habit 4 from Mrs. McDermott's AM Kindergarten Class
Congratulations to our January Leaders of the Month!
The students below have demonstrated the 7 habits in their daily lives!
We are so proud of you!
Families - Please complete the district's ThoughtExchange!
Students have a better chance of success in school and life after graduation when schools, families, and communities work together. As such, the Elizabethtown Area School District is conducting a ThoughtExchange to gain stakeholder insight into our communities' hopes and dreams for our children and what they expect from the public school district experiences. ThoughtExchange promotes stakeholder engagement through a user-friendly, online tool that allows community members to share their thoughts and ideas on a specific topic. We'd love for you to join the conversation. The Exchange closes on January 31 at 4 p.m. Click the link below to offer your thoughts and/or see what others in our community are saying. All responses and ratings are anonymous.
Reminders about Chromebooks for students in Grades 1 and 2
- The devices are being sent home daily with students in grades 1 and 2.
- Chromebooks will be sent home with kindergarteners soon! Stay tuned for more information.
- Devices need to come to school fully charged each day!
- Students need to bring the chromebook, charger and case to school daily in order for instruction to occur in school.
- Families - Please consider taking off the long strap on the Chromebook case. Most students are not using the long strap and are using the handles. We have had many students trip over their straps in the hallways when walking in and out of school.
Winter Recess Reminder
A heavier coat, gloves and/or a hat is recommended.
Always remember to label your child's things so lost items can be returned!
COVID Vaccination Verification for Students
You can email a picture of the vaccination card to East High's health room nurse, Stacie Randolph at Stacie_Randolph@etownschools.org or upload a copy to your child's Community Portal account.
PTO Volunteers Needed!
- Creativity needed!! Volunteers to assist with teacher and staff appreciation for Jan, February, March and April. Have a cute/creative idea for showing appreciation? Pick a month and get involved in showing the school teachers and staff just how much we cherish them!
- Love Books? We need a Book Fair Co-Chairperson willing to cover at least half of the fair so we can hold an in-school fair in the Spring (~5 days - ½ day commitment). The kiddos get so excited to come shop for their own books and we really want to support that in the Spring, but need your help to make that happen!
- Ready for Spring already? We need ideas and Co-Chair volunteers for fun Spring activities- possible examples being Family Movie Night, Spring Carnival, Bingo, etc.
Please email us at EastHighStreetPTO@gmail.com if you are interested!

Parent/Guardian Technology Center
EASD students use electronic devices to access online resources for classroom instruction. Students in grades K-2 use iPads and Chromebooks while students in grades 3-12 use Chromebooks. Upon registering in the district, student technology accounts are created automatically so they are able to log in to district devices and access online instructional resources. Please read the information in the Technology Center to learn more about the student devices, technology accounts and troubleshooting measures.
Parents are encouraged to create their own technology accounts in our school systems to access their student's demographic information, digital report cards, and daily classroom instruction and grades.
