Mac Key Club
Key Club in the month of February:
So far we have three days of volunteer events scheduled (more info below), but we are also planning something for the school...
Valentines Cards for Teachers!!!
Starting this week we will organize days where Key Club members can get service hours by helping make, sort, and distribute Valentines cards. Later this week I will make available volunteer slots during lunch to "sell" the cards (they will be free). Below is the design of one of the cards...
The first volunteer day will most likely be this Tuesday the 2nd, in the morning in the library. If you wish to gain service hours helping this Tuesday or Thursday please email mccallumkeyclub@gmail.com. I will post more info about this on Facebook later this week...

Texas Natural History Collections
We're going back to the Texas Natural History Collections on Monday, February 15 (student holiday in Austin ISD). This time our members have the option to volunteer in the morning (9AM to 12PM) or afternoon (1PM to 4PM). We can take 15 volunteers in the morning and 15 volunteers in the afternoon. 3 hours will be added to your service transcript for this project - 6 hours if you volunteer in both shifts.
When we volunteer at the Texas Natural History Collections, we label, organize and place fish specimen jars on collections shelves; tag and photograph fish specimens for documentation in a digital database; count, label and preserve fish specimens; assist with general lab work and perform maintenance in the collections facility. This volunteer work is typically sourced to students at The University of Texas.
