5th Grade ROCKS!!!

A Year of Excellence

How did it get so late so soon? (Dr. Seuss)

Can you believe we have been in school for 8 weeks??!! Well, minus 1 for mid-term! We are more than half way finish our first term. Please be reminded of a few things.

Uniform: Summer dresses for the girls should be packed away until February. Girls should be wearing their jumpers. Perfects are back in green socks. All students are to wear ties until after the mid-term in February. The weather is changing, please remember students should have a hunter green sweater or jacket.

Projects: Music, P.E., and Spanish projects are almost due. Please pay close attention to due dates.

Walk-a-thon: Sponsors sheet were sent before the mid-term, we encourage each child to make an effort to ask for donations to better our wonderful school.

Homework: We still have a problem with some children not completing homework, or not completing it properly. We are asking you as the parent to help us by checking your child's homework.

Conferences: If you had to cancel, or missed your conference for any reason, please contact the teacher so we can reschedule a new one. Please remember that although we values your concerns, we can not accommodate you to have a discussion about your child after that first bell goes at 8:25am. Please make an effort to see us either earlier or after school. However, keep in mind that we sometimes have other appointments, and may not be able to accommodate you if you decide to 'pop-in'. To avoid this, it will be best to make an appointment ahead of time.

Field Trip: Remember the dates for the field trip has changed. 5CO (October 31st), 5JP (November 4th), and 5TC (November 5th)

IMPORTANT!!! Fifth grade flyers

Our fifth grade flyers will be sent on a weekly. After today, you will receive a flyer every Monday. We encourage you to fully read the flyers and watch the videos we share. These videos are sought out for one purpose, to better help our students.

We will no longer forward the flyer from my email. For those wishing to receive the flyer, click the orange-y rectangle button on the right that says, "Follow KAgrade5" (This box can also be located at the bottom of the flyer). Leave your name and email and your flyer will be sent directly to your inbox.

Feel free to leave a comment or question in the comment box! Together, fifth grade will be a year of excellence!
